
Established in Kamiiida in 1888, Maruman makes miso and other fermented foods. The third-generation president of the company, Nakada Eizo, discovered and patented the “Nakada Method of Quick Brewing Miso”, which was popularized nationwide, and the fourth president, Nakada Kyoichi lead the industry in developing “no additives miso” or miso with no additives. In addition to having a massive impact on the industry, the company’s goal has always been to make products that will please the customers. We will continue to develop “foods that are easy on people”, guided by the key concepts of being natural, safe, healthy, and environmentally-sound.
