Yamajirushi is located at the northern foot of Utsukushigahara Highlands, and in this serene environment we pursue our miso brewing. Proclaiming our management philosophy of “Serving in the improvement of eating habits, and contributing to the making people healthier”, we use Japan-grown or locally-produced ingredients so we can provide everyone with safe and secure products.
1. Starting with Jishinsaku, which uses Nagano-grown soybeans and rice, and “natural brewing without additives just like in the old days”, which uses soybeans and rice grown in Japan., we are very particular about our ingredients.
2. With the catchphrase “Want to try making miso?”, in 1961 we began development of “Shikomi Miso” so you could enjoy the rich flavor that characterizes natural brewing in your own home with homemade miso, and even a half century later it remains a beloved product.
3. Considering the spread of dietary education, as part of our study tour for local elementary school students we take them on a tour of a miso making facility, let them try making miso, and explain about the nutrition of miso to make sure that they have an interest in this fermented food from ancient Japan.
