Nagano Miso was established 280 years ago. As fate would have it, the twelfth president of the company Oka Zohei was peddling all over the country when he set up a shop in Nagano Prefecture’s Komoro Yoramachi and began brewing sake and soy sauce. Since our establishment, we’ve strived singlemindedly to continue and develop our country’s traditional food culture, and are still here today thanks to everyone’s patronage. “Food is the source of life” is the basic philosophy we at Nagano Miso have diligently cultivated. Going forward with this philosophy, our purpose in life is “to make something genuine” that holds true in any age, so that we may preserve our customers’ healthy and bountiful eating habits.
